hello I have been traveling since 3:00am yesterday morning, when I left my apartment for the airport in 5 inches of snow. Plane was "on time," except for the de-icing, which took too long, which caused me to miss my connection in DC. Not to fear, they booked me on a flight at 2:45pm (about 5 hours later) to SF, with a connection to Seattle. When I got to SF, my flight was canceled (woo!) They did not have any seats on any other flights the next day and offered me standby. They gave me a discount at a hotel.

Rather than risk not getting on a flight while on standby, I got a ticket on Alaska. Grand total of room + new flight = $250. This is on top of what I spent on the first ticket.

I am slowly forming a letter of complaint in my head to United Airlines.

I'm at the airport in SF right now, and my flight is currently on time.. Let's hope it stays that way..

Just so you know, it's 2:50am and I just woke up to schedule my cab for an hour from now. I went to sleep at 11pm. I shoveled about a foot of snow away from our walkway a few hours ago. Not as bad on the street, but the wind it going and makin drifts.

I am a zombie. Will my flight leave on time? Who knows. Will I die in a wintery car crash? Who knowser.

It is almost time for me to return to this lovely place:

also, if you google search Bremerton, this pops up on first page, just so you know:

I fly out at 6am Saturday at the tailend of a snowstorm that is supposed to bring 6-12 inches to Boston. I am putting my chances of leaving on time at about 1%.

On the agenda:
Going to Red Robin, meeting Shannon, checking out the new back porch, seeing Zaneta, hanging with Calley & Maria & hopefully Tiff, dinner with Mel, hanging with Laura, sleepover at Jenny's, going to the Manette, seeing the baby cousins, drinking Uncle Gary's wine, going to Value Village, seeing dad preach, seeing dad's new house in Poulsbo, and of course, mom mom mom.

And then I fly to NC to:
See Hunter, see the Tremont clan, meet Clancy, eat mexican food, chill with Granny, watch Hunter's bros play video games, sleep in a most comfortable bed, and spend New Year's here:

Hunter will also make me go to BoJangles to get a biscuit.

I am VERY excited to get out of Boston for a bit and go home.. Its only been a year, but it seems like so long ago...

But now.. now I will go a-shoppin.

I hung out with my dear lady Laura for the first time in way too long. Started out with a living room dance party and ended at the Pill. Not many familiar faces and a fairly early night..

I made BFFs with the cab driver on the way home.

Hunter is in NYC for a few days, so I'm on my owwwwn for this weekend. I'll be home in two weeks! Crazy nuts!

Oh, and I cut my bangs. Perhaps a little too short?

Here's some pics from our ummm.. photo session? last night.

Saw Hunter play at Felt on Thursday - which is this ridiculous 4 story club downtown.. I'm never sure how those places stay open since they never seem to be busy - and I can't imagine how many girls fall on their faces wearing high heels and trying to go up and down all those stairs. The show was fun - a late night - but still fun.

We also saw Milk this week. I didn't know many details about Harvey Milk's life (or death) going into it, but I was really impressed with how the movie was done, as well as Sean Penn's portrayal. Regardless of your beliefs, Harvey was a pretty inspiring man and did a lot of incredible things to bring his community together.
