It's been a bussssssy weekend. Friday I went over to PA's with Nate to go to the Union Sq. Roundtable. There was the usual locals and an appearance from Eugene. Reminder: do not talk to strangers in line for the bathroom. Or at all.
The next day, my Aunt Nancy and Uncle Laurin were in town after going to a wedding in Cape Cod. I met them in Harvard and we decided to go to Mr. Bartley's for burgers. Annnd I may have almost passed out in line. Not eating dinner + dehydration + humidity + low blood pressure = nearly fainting. Eek. After some food and water, I was alright, albeit a little embarrassed. Hunter was able to come out and charm my family blah blah blah (he's ridiculous.) My aunt was very amused by the Viagra burger. I had the Bill Clinton.
Next we headed to Newbury St and poked around some shops and met up with Laura. We walked down through Government Center and over to the North End, where we found a place that wasn't TOO insanely crowded. The food was great (I had some smoked mozzarella ravioli in a porcine mushroom cream sauce,) as was the conversation. This was one of the first times I've spent time with Nancy and Laurin alone without the rest of the fam, so we all got to talk about all sorts of things.
After getting some gelato (by the way, the North End is nuts on a Saturday night!) we headed back to Cambridge to go to Johnny D's. I had seen that Chicken Slacks were playing and thought it would be a good place to bring them. I knew it was a success when we were out dancing and Aunt Nancy leaned over during Dance to the Music and said "Freshman year of college!" We closed the place down and everyone went home happy and tired. It was a great day!
(Hunter commented on how much my mom and Nancy look alike. I kept doing double takes all day)
This afternoon, after sleeping in until noon (which never happens,) Hunter and I went and saw WALL-E. All I can say is CUUUUUUUUUTE.
