I'm officially a sister-in-law! And a big sentimental wuss! And a devious hotel messer-upper!

Brother tied the knot exactly a week ago on Valentines Day and is now lazying around in Maui (it is in the 30's in Boston.)

I flew back to Tuesday night for a busy few days in the Puget Sound area.. Mom picked me up from the airport and I pretty much went home and went to sleep (it was like 2 or 3am est.) The next morning I took mom to work and had the whole day with a car(!) I took care of the essentials, like shopping at Forever 21 and taking pictures of water and birds at the Silverdale waterfront.

After dinner in Poulsbo with Dad, I stocked up on scarves and what I like to call "witch boots" at Value Village (oh how I've missed you!!!!) and picked up mom from work. We did some very essential wedding jewelry shopping and got nachos at Silver City and caught up.

The next day we went around and collected what we needed for the rehearsal dinner and whatnot. I intended to meet up with Z, but was feeling the jet lag migraine. Bedtime = 8pm.

Friday, we got to Andrew's old place in Wallingford to clean and get ready for the dinner that night. On the menu: veggie lasanga, chicken with walnuts and feta (both provided by nancy,) green beans with tomato, asparagus with soy sauce and sesame seeds, cheese plate, bread, red velvet cake etc. We left Joan and Nancy to finish setting everything up and headed to Court in the Square to watch Andrew and Shannon pretend to get married. Micah and Luke were groomsman, so I got to see them (my brothers from another mother(s)) I met some of Sha's family

(man with the bible is my dad of course)

After we'd run through everything, we went back over to Andrew's for eating and drinking of beers. Hunter arrived at some point in a cab and was sort of attacked by hugs by various people (where's hunter? when's he getting here? blah blah blah)

Aunt Joan, Aunt Nancy and Moms. Can you tell they're related?

Shannon also had a good looking mom and pair of aunts.

We drove back to Bremerton that night, getting back at like 1 or 2am (poor Hunter was a little half dead by then.) The next morning we pulled everything together and got on the ferry back to Seattle (soo much back and forth.)

Our hotel, the Arctic Club Hotel was near Pioneer Square and quite amazing.

Not my pics, but you get the idea

I went out to get ready with the other bridesmaids, and Hunter went out to poke around bookstores.. And then it was 4:30 and time for pictures and getting dressed and whatnot at the venue.

The Bridesmaids!

The Groomsmen!

Me and my bro!

There were so many people that I hadn't seen in forever - Grandma and Grandpa Estep, Angie, Eric, the Guidicis etc. It was a little nuts. The ceremony started and I started tearing up as soon as I started walking down cause I'm a big sentimental wuss.

Here's proof:

The ceremony went perfectly - although the ring bearer sort of fell asleep woohaa.

Their exit song was a Smashing Pumpkins song! ahaha!!

Anyway, there were more pics after the wedding and lots of good food and wine and catching up with people. Hunter has now met my entire family except for two aunts and a couple of cousins. Like evvvvvvveryone.

Send off!

After the reception, we headed back to the hotel, where Luke and Micah had managed to wrangle people for an "after party" in the lobby bar. And then we somehow ended up in a storage room throwing fake rose petals around???

Haaa we probably would have gotten in trouble if we got caught. I told my mom the next morning and she was like "oh nice. 30 year olds trashing hotels. real nice."

We ate brunch at Smith Pub on capitol hill and then headed to Kent to celebrate my mom's birthday.

And then it was AIRPLANES and back to boston.

Brilliant post. Beautiful wedding, love the picture of your mom and sisters (tell her she looked great in the wedding pictures!) and you already know how I feel about the pictures of you and the Hunter. Love it all :)
