Romance Romance
Last night Hunter took me to Tangierino in Charlestown (where I now want to live) for Valentines Day. I knew the restaurant had won lots of awards for its romantic atmosphere, but I was not prepared for it! The whole place is painted a deep red with low lighting and fabic hanging everywhere. We were led to our table which was in a room of four tables off of the main room. Our table was low to the ground and we shared a incredibly comfortable couch where we could sit as close as we wanted. Our waitress brought me a long-stemmed red rose and we had a glass of champagne to start off.
Next:
bread with fennel seed, olives and hummos
harira: soup of plum tomato base, chickpeas, lentils, cilantro
4 layer tuna tartar: layers of spicy yellow fin, scallion cucumberm honey mando, avocado-guacomole
7 vegetable cous cous: cous cous medley of braised butter-nut squash, baby turnips, cabbage, carrots, chickpeas
cous cous royal: slow cooked lamb shank, grilled spiced lamb-merguez over seven vegetables cous cous
molten chocolate souffle
exotic sorbet (mango, passsion fruit and rasberry sorbet dipped in white chocolate)
By the end of it we were half-dead and piled ourselves into a cab back to Brookline.
my brain is in a puddle. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
